about Me

I'm a 38-year-old author from Buffalo, NY. Until September 2022, I lived in Bremerhaven, Germany for 11 years and worked as a teacher and Zumba Fitness instructor.

I write for Huffington Post, InsiderElephant Journal, Buffalo Rising and Buffalo Spree. I am also the recipient of first place award for creative non-fiction in the Olive Woolley Burt Award given by League of Utah Writers and two-time finalist in the Women on Writing Creative Non-Fiction Writing Contest.

In my spare time, I am at the gym, reading everything I can, gardening or attending poetry open mics around town.

Drop me a line if you want to know more about me or my work! Always happy to communicate with readers.

HOWEVER, if you're going to say something cruel or discriminatory, it will not be tolerated.

My Writing

I write humor, dramedy, fiction and

creative non-fiction.

Current projects:

A bilingual screenplay of a series Ex-Pats about four English-speaking women living in Germany. It outlines the linguistic and interpersonal struggles of life in a foreign country.

A modern-day re-write of Shakespeare's Merchant of Venice entitled Merchant of Texas, co-authored by Michael Kopalek.

A memoir of the eleven years I spent in Bremerhaven, Germany as a foreign language and Zumba teacher.

screenplay based on my experiences since returning to the USA.

A fictional romance novel (but not sappy, I promise!)
